Our honey sends you on a journey to the North. To wide woodlands and meadows of Häme highlands. Our bees feed here on blossoming wildflower, and farmland meadows and deep conifer forests around us. In our honey the lush mix of floral aromas is complemented with wild woodland notes and aromas of blossoming wild blueberries and lingonberries.
In the taste you can feel the freshness of Nordic summer. The misty mornings when nature is slowly waking up and air is still crisp after the night. And sunny days when skies are blue, clouds white and delicate wind plays with your hair.
Summers here are short but filled with light. We are a country of midnight sun. This amazing lightness generates exceptional aromas in honey. The unique location and mix of aromas makes our honey a true Nordic honey treat for you to enjoy!
Our Honey is 100% natural and unheated. We pick it, mix and jar it, nothing is added and nothing removed. All natural and beneficial enzymes and vitamins are there for you, just like nature meant it.
We are located far away from main roads and big cities in Häme highlands, Southern Finland. Finland is a country that is fully located north of 60° latitude. This gives our foodstuffs some amazing qualities. Harsh winters dramatically reduce the need for pesticides. We are GMO free. Air quality is regarded as one of the purest in the world as well as our ground water. We can fairly say that our honey is one of the purest in the world.
Honey has many benefits. It has been used as a folk medicine for skin burns and wounds by ancient Greeks as well as in Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine. It has been regarded to have antibiotic qualities by practitioners of traditional medicine. The World Health Organisation suggests honey as a medicine for couch and sore throat. As a natural and unprocessed sweetener honey has nutrients and aromas sugar and artificial sweeteners do not provide. Honey can be used as a snack and is used as such by many athletes.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not give honey to infants under the age of one years.
